Brewing Guide - CAFEC Flower Dripper and Deep Dripper
5 Minute Read
As a company experienced with advocating for the sharing the love of specialty coffee, we understand the best way to grow a passion for specialty coffee begins in the first encounter. On that note, we believe that finding the best quality specialty coffee equipment is important.
One of the common questions we always receive is:
‘What’s the difference between the CAFEC Deep Dripper and the Flower Dripper?’
Aside from providing different aesthetic appeal, each type of dripper provides different values that further adds to the specialty coffee experience.
The CAFEC Flower Dripper
The CAFEC Flower Dripper is synonymous with the distinct floral pattern of its inner walls. This design is created to help the coffee expand which allows the coffee to be better extracted during the brewing process. The floral patterns provide more space for the filter paper to expand during the brewing process. To further improve the circulation and the flow of the coffee during the brewing process, the dripper is also designed with a cone-shaped structure equipped with bottom ribs at the centre. The cone-like shape allows better water circulation, and the bottom ribs helps allows the coffee powder to be directed more stably during the extraction process. Further adding to the aesthetic value of the dripper, the dripper is hand-crafted and part of the ‘Arita Wear’. Crafted by porcelain experts with 400 years of traditional technique, these drippers are of the many modern master pieces of the ‘Arita Wear’ collection. Balancing aesthetic value and the best innovation in specialty coffee gear, the CAFEC Flower Dripper is a dripper suitable for providing the best specialty coffee experience.
The CAFEC Deep Dripper
The CAFEC Deep Dripper was crafted because a deeper filter would allow the coffee to be extracted longer and better. This resulted in the iconic hexagonal design of the dripper and the bottom 45-degree angle of the dripper. The deeper filtration provided by this dripper begins with the hexagonal shape of the dripper. This design provides better air layer between the paper and the dripper which allows the coffee the expand further than the regular dripper. Following this, the 45-degree angle creates a deeper filtering which allows the coffee to be extracted longer. Traditionally only available to Nel drippers, this revolutionary concept allows the same level of quality without additional equipment. Further adding to the aesthetic value of the dripper, the dripper is hand-crafted and part of the ‘Arita Wear’ collection. Crafted by porcelain experts with 400 years of traditional technique, these drippers are of the many modern master pieces of the ‘Arita Wear’. Specialising in providing a deeper level of extraction, this drippers is the key to elevating your specialty coffee experience
